The two-day conference brought together Christian leaders from across the continent of Africa. 128 participants attended the conference physically, why so many other members across the Globe attended virtually.
The opening ceremony was addressed by the Global Secretary, Pastor (Dr.) Akinjide Akinleye.
The keynote paper, “Christian Education: Interrogating the Dynamics of Impactful Teaching and Leadership,” was presented by Dr. Rotimi Alaba Oti, a distinguished Christian Ethicist and Guidance Counsellor, and the current Provost of the Redeemed Christian Bible College. In his paper, he emphasized the crucial role played by Christian Education in shaping the minds and hearts of individuals within the church and wider society. He explored the dynamics of impactful teaching and leadership in Christian Education, focusing on the factors that contribute to their effectiveness in making a lasting impact on the lives of their students or members by equipping them to be thoughtful, compassionate, and morally upright individuals in an ever-changing world.
Pastor (Engr.) Julius Bamiwo Ogunjimi, in his paper, “Leadership Recruitment through Christian Education: Issues and Perspectives,” outlined education as the transfer of knowledge via the process of learning. He stated that a Christian instructor should be deeply knowledgeable about the ideals of the kingdom he represents. He recommended Apostle Paul and Jesus Christ as examples for recruiting Christian leadership.

The resolutions at the conference included:
- There is no confusion in the body of Christ.
- The arbitrary awarding of honorary doctorate degrees and professorships was roundly condemned. Hence, all theological colleges, seminaries, and Christian universities should desist from this act. Degrees, either academic or honorary, should be awarded on merit.
- Appointments to leadership positions should be strictly based on the level of education, skills, and administrative capacity/ability.
- All Christian leaders should return to the basics via the teachings of our fathers in faith and bring such teachings to bear on their followers and students.
- There should be synergy between ACCI and other Bible colleges for the rightful impact of Christian Education.
- The conduct of Christian leaders needs to be regulated to conform with the standards of the Bible. ACCI needs to take this into consideration when accepting members.
- Christian leaders are to be part of the changing world, positively, not negatively.
